We have 15 very large pitches however we usually only use 12 to keep the site quiet.
Big skies, plenty of space, and all the essentials you need – with a few thoughtful extras
- We welcome dogs (free of charge)
- Children aged 3 and under also stay free.
The Campsite is set in open countryside just above the harbour. From the top of the site, there are sea views across to the headland, especially at sunset. It’s a peaceful, low-key site surrounded by wildflowers, birdsong and the occasional fox or seal.
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is just a few minutes’ walk away, and the harbour is close enough for a morning swim, paddle, or a picnic by the water. Whether you’re staying for one night on the coast path or settling in for a full week of fresh air and fireside evenings, Abercastle Campsite offers a simple, spacious and relaxed base just above the harbour:
Pitches
Each pitch is very large and well-spaced – with room to park, cook, sit out and sleep without ever being anywhere near enough to be tripping over your neighbour’s guy ropes.
- Tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes welcome
- Fire pit on every pitch – bring your own wood or pick some up nearby
- Water tap adjacent to each pitch
- Optional electric hook-up (EHU) – available for a small additional charge (please request when booking) [link to prices page]
- No extra charges for gazebos or awnings

We keep things simple, clean and practical – everything you need, with no hidden extras.

Watersports gear – Free to Borrow
Guests are welcome to borrow a selection of gear (if available) to enjoy the sea. These belong personally to Anne and you use them at your own risk:
- Kayaks
- Stand-up paddleboards (SUPs)
- Bodyboards
- Wetsuits (a few sizes available)
Just ask what’s available, and please rinse and return everything after use. You must wear a lifejacket at all times when using sit-on kayaks and SUPs. While Anne has a few buoyancy aids, she may not have your size, and cannot guarantee them or their availability. Please bring your own if you have one.
Dog Friendly
Well-behaved dogs are very welcome. Please:
- Keep dogs on leads around the campsite and livestock
- Pick up after your dog – bins are provided
- Be considerate of other campers and wildlife
The nearby Pembrokeshire Coast Path and local lanes offer fantastic walking straight from your pitch. You are advised to keep your dogs on a lead on the coast path.
We love welcoming dogs to Abercastle, and the coastal walks are part of the magic, but safety comes first. Do have a look at the RNLI website https://rnli.org/safety/choose-your-activity/coastal-walking/dog-walking
If you’re unsure about a particular route or looking for a safer, low-cliff or inland alternative, just ask Anne who will point you in the right direction.
