Location, getting here and around
Tucked just above the harbour, easy to reach – but it feels a world away.

Where is Abercastle Campsite?
Abercastle Campsite is set just above the harbour in the tiny coastal village of Abercastle. The campsite is based on a smallholding and part of the old farm of Garn Isaf, on the north Pembrokeshire coast, West Wales.
It lies just a 5–10 minute walk from the sea and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, in the heart of Pembrokeshire National Park. We are:
- 1 mile north of Trefin
- 2 miles west of Mathry;
- 9 miles northwest of St David’s; and
- 5 miles southeast of Fishguard
Our address is:
Abercastle Campsite, Garn Isaf, Abercastle, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, SA62 5HJ

Please avoid knocking on the door of Y Garn which is in the same courtyard as Garn Isaf. It is a private residence and not connected to the campsite or the guest house.
Getting Here
Abercastle Campsite is in north Pembrokeshire, and just off the A487 coast road between Fishguard and St Davids.
By Car
From the A487, turn off at the signs for Mathry and drive up into the village. Then follow the signs for Abercastle, past the pink roofed house. The road narrows as you head down towards the sea. Go past a modern looking house and keep heading down. Just before the lane becomes more woody, look out for the entrance to the campsite on your right. If you get to Garn Isaf you’ve gone too far!
From the A487, turn off at the signs for Trefin and head down towards the village. Then follow the signs for Abercastle and follow the road down to the harbour and up the steep hill the other side. Look out for the small turning on your left for Garn Isaf (you may still see signs for Garn Gwely on some maps or older sat navs). Follow the lane a short distance, and you’ll see the entrance to the campsite on your left.
Postcode for sat nav: SA62 5HJ
(Please note: Some GPS systems try to send you through nearby farm tracks – it’s best to stick to the main road and follow signs for Abercastle first.)
