A few of the recent kind things our visitors have said about our lovely campsite

Google:

  • “We love coming here. The site is idyllic and Annie makes us so welcome.  We bring our boat, snorkels, walking boots and bikes and always have a wonderful time!”
  • “Wonderful site. Huge pitches with picnic table and ehu, bounded by hedge banks. We loved the facilities; a fire pit to ourselves, water and lovely immaculate showers and loos. It is right on the coastal path and the harbour is just a 10 min walk so the dogs (and I!) can swim every day. Campervans, caravans and tents all welcome which makes a lovely mix. We loved the space, walking along the coast path and heading back via a dog friendly pub. What could be better?!?Plenty of sandy beaches, almost all of them dog friendly all year round.”
  • “Just spent 3 nights at Abercastle Campsite and I highly recommend it. The pitches are massive (your own picnic bench & fire pit); the facilities are spotless and the location is right next to some stunning coastal sites!  Anne was super helpful and we had a great stay and hope to return – thanks”.

Garn Isaf is our Guest House.  Some of our campsite guests have left reviews on Garn Isaf’s google page which relate to Abercastle Campsite:

  • “We have been coming to this campsite for the past seven years and absolutely love it. It is the best campsite I have stayed on with spacious pitches, your own fire pit and full sized picnic bench. Annie, the host, has become a great family friend of ours and we always look forward to seeing her each year.

I would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone.  The surrounding areas are stunning and very tranquil.”

  • “Fantastic, lovely area, very pretty, a neat campsite and a wonderful host. Highly recommended.”
  • “My family and I stayed here for a week and had a great time camping, walking, swimming and climbing over rocks at the beaches nearby. At the campsite, toilets, showers and basins were kept spotless by Anne and the campers.  Probably the cleanest campsite I’ve been to.  Showers were great.

Very nice and quiet except one very windy night which was solved by getting ear plugs.  Anne is a lovely and super hardworking lady managing a campsite and a guest house.  She’s friendly and was great at communicating with us. Large spacious camping pitches.  There’s a gentle slope on some of the pitches. Hedges between some of the pitches provide privacy.  We had a drinking water tap at our pitch which was so convenient.”

  • “Very reluctant to write a review as want to keep this place to ourselves. However, What a wonderful place. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we felt like we were part of the family.”
  • “Wonderful quiet peaceful site, lots of wildlife, beautiful location, really friendly owner, wish we could have stayed longer. Lovely location for the kids to have some back to basic adventures. It isn’t a kids running around squealing kind of site, more a family time kind of place. We had 3 kids with us 7, 11 and 13. They enjoyed the beach, playing on the large pitch, toasting marshmallows on the campfire.”

  • “We had a fantastic stay travelling to nearby locations such as Strumble Head (where we saw dolphins & seals) and Abereiddi Beach where we jumped off rocks into the Blue Lagoon. I would love to keep this one to myself but I’m not going to, go there…. you’ll fall in love with the place…..”
